Course Description

The intent of this workshop is to provide an overview of the Low Impact Development Treatment Train Tool (LID TTT) Version 1.0 available for release on the STEP website.

A more detailed walk through of the capabilities of the tool, case study examples, along with a Q & A and experimentation period will all be a component of the workshop.

Development team representatives from the GTA CAs along with the consultants (Golder) will be co-delivering this session.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is intended for practitioners preparing SWM Design packages to meet criteria and objectives for approval.

Learning Objectives?

1. Appreciate model criteria and rationale that supports the selection of preferred open-source and/or commercial license LID modelling tool(s) which effectively demonstrate design targets have been met.

2. Understand the capabilities of the LID Treatment Train Tool, utilizing EPA-SWMM as the engine, to estimate pre and post water balance, runoff volume control, peak flows, total phosphorus and total suspended solid loading and removals through the treatment train represented through walk through instruction and case study examples.

3. Recognize how an adapted LID TTT may be used to enhance discussions during preliminary planning efforts, and to be re-applied for final design and assessment (for approval, subject to pre-consultation input from relevant agencies).

A maximum of two registrants per organization can attend this event.

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptop as LID treatment train tool cases study examples will be provided to review during the workshop session along with presentations.
